Vijay Baid
About the Founder
Vijay has successfully built and scaled a business focused on bulk material handling systems and conveyor solutions, working with major sectors like cement, steel, power, and infrastructure. His strength lies in both engineering execution and building sustainable, process-driven organisations. What sets him apart is his background as a Chartered Accountant. With a strong grip on numbers, cost structures, and financial planning, he brings practical, efficiency-focused decision-making to everything he does.
At his core, Vijay is passionate about engineering innovation and long-term value creation. At GigaaForm, he continues to lead with a clear focus: building reliable, high-performance solutions while fostering a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
What Inspired This Venture
A turning point came when he collaborated with a 3D printing company to develop prototypes. That experience sparked a powerful realization: recycled plastic could be used directly in additive manufacturing. After five years of dedicated research, trials, and development, that idea became reality: a commercial pellet-based 3D printer, made in India. It prints directly from plastic granules, including recycled material, reducing both cost and waste.
This technology turns recycled plastic pellets into high-performance prints, giving waste a new purpose and solving a major industry challenge: the disposal of failed prints and excess material. It’s a cost-effective, sustainable, and environmentally responsible solution, a true win-win for manufacturers and the planet.
